Our Wagyu Tri-Tip is the best of all worlds: it has the mouthfeel of a primary cut and the texture and flavor that you might associate with a butcher’s cut. In short, it exceeds all expectations. Easy to cook Tri-Tip is best grilled, smoked, or roasted in the oven. The tri-tip comes from the bottom of the sirloin and is named for its triangular shape. The cut is also known as "Santa Maria" or "Newport".
This Australian Wagyu is derived from prized Japanese Wagyu of unmatched lineage and distinction. Born wild on the northern Australian rangelands, these cattle roam free in family groups, grazing native grasses for at least two years. They continue to grow and mature in spacious pens where they are fed a bespoke grain diet, much of which is grown on farm - allowing the terroir of the land to shine through. The Wagyu that results is well-marbled and supremely tender with rich, decadent caramelized flavors that linger on the palate. Two individually packaged 2.5 lb tri tips (approx weight). BMS 4+.
